The Left Guard

    Introduction

    Welcome to 'The Left Guard', a Savage Shadowrun Adventure Edition campaign set in the UCAS city of Chicago circa 2050. It is run online in FoundryVTT.

    I'm trying to stick as close to base SWADE ( Savage World Adventure Edition ) base rules as possible for simplicity.

    I have added in FastLane Hacking, which is what we will be using for Matrix interactions, etc.

    Cyberware - follow the rules in Science Fiction Companion including Strain rules - if there is cyberware you don't see let me know and I'll ad it into these settings. Let's keep it true to Shadowrun's idea that augmentation removes your ability to magic, etc.

    Rigging - there are some special rules for this I've worked out with our first rigger, haven't written them down yet. Let me know if you want to play a rigger and I'll take the opportunity to write them down.

    Shamans - Uncharted territory - we'll take a look at Core SWADE and figure out if we need to supplement either with special setting rules or one of the other books.

    Use these settings and if you have something that you feel needs to move over from Shadowrun that isn't here let me know. I'm trying to keep it as simple as possible but am also flexible if it makes sense. Roll up your character here then use the import module for Foundry SWADE system to bring it in and keep it in sync. If you don't want to.

    Background

    Play any of the Shadowrun races, any of the character archetypes (https://shadowrun.gamepedia.com/Archetypes). You may want to query the group as to their current need before making these choices.

    Notes

    I like to keep thing moving and not get bogged down in rules and details. That is why we aren't playing the Shadowrun rules. So if you are a rules lover and a nitpicker you will probably not enjoy my play style and I definitely won't enjoy you. If you are a enthusiastic storyteller who leaves enough space for others to enrich the story, loves collaboratively building something awesome then this is the campaign for you. We are playing in the fictional history of the collection of Shadowrun publications. I sometimes diverge from canon either for story, on a whim or out of ignorance. Be ok with that.
