Elder Scrolls

    Introduction

    Hello, and welcome to The Elder Scrolls : Savage Worlds! This setting is a "conversion-lite" representation of The Elder Scrolls setting using Savage Worlds Adventure Edition (SWADE). This means most of the rules are standard SWADE rules, opting not to create a lot of house rules to make it play more like the video games. There are custom races, and a few custom edges, but beyond that, you can use the core SWADE rulebook for just about everything - there are a few minor additions from the Fantasy Companion, but as it hasn't been updated for SWADE yet, only a few of the edges and equipment pieces were added.

    Background

    This story takes place in Cyrodiil, the central province of the Empire and home to the Imperial City, in year 415 of the 3rd Era. [This is just after the events of TES 2 : Daggerfall, but about a decade before TES 3 : Morrowind]. The party is based in the city of Anvil, a prosperous port city along the western coast (known as the Gold Coast) along the Abecean Sea. Our heroes are members of the Fighters Guild or Mages Guild, both in service to the Empire through their various talents.

    Notes

    Character creation using this setting is per standard SWADE rules, with a few exceptions :

    - Please make sure you're using the custom races provided by this setting.

    - Each character begins play with +1 Edge. This edge must be used on the campaign-specific "Birthsign" Edges, which provide a small bonus depending upon which astrological sign your character was born under.

    - Only two types of Arcane Background are allowed - Miracles, and Magic. Your power either comes from your mastery of Magicka, or your faith and bond with the Aedra / Daedra. Power Points are called "Magicka" whether you are using Miracles or Magic.
