Background
Roddy Road, always hated his name, children could be cruel and they had all sorts of variations to use on him. In addition more than once his so-called friends would turn on him, if the bigger kids threatened them. So he avoided people and spent most of his time inside away from the other children.
He liked to build things and understand how they worked, electronics was fun and computers fascinating and easy to program, people were complicated.
It is unknown why a swarm of rats attacked Roddy in his bedroom one night when he was twelve, but he was rushed to hospital, tested for rabies, the numerous bites had caused considerable blood loss, as his body got smaller his parents were told his body was literally wasting away.
When the tail began to grow he was moved to a specialist wing of the hospital, the parents told that thanks to Hexon's patronage of the wing, Roddy would get the best treatment possible, within a month his parents were told he was dead.
The extensive experiments performed on him to find his limits for invention did not uncover his skills at bypassing computer security, he escaped two years after his "death", his parents had moved, he had no friends to miss, so he headed to Big city and has been there ever since...
